Martha made the original Honeycomb Tessellation Form by hand carving a piece of scrap plastic and fabricating a top using thermo-plastic pellets. After a year of collaboration with Dallas Vinson at JFF Jeweler Supply (Doraville, GA) and Curbell Plastics (Lithia Springs, GA) and the creation of four prototypes, the manufactured Honeycomb Tessellation Form became a reality. It is designed to make wavy discs of various sizes that can be soldered together to form a honeycomb pattern or used separately as elements in jewelry, hollowware, flatware and sculpture. The Form works well with Silver, Copper, Aluminum, Brass and Nugold; with 20 gauge to 26 gauge sheet metal; and with 10 gauge and smaller wire. The Form can also be used in a hydraulic press.
